Humble Reminder

The Saints are 1-3 since the Eagles win. Which turned out to be not much of a win. I hate to say it, but maybe this team isn’t so good.

  1. Typical Saints fan … a two-game losing streak, and the first reaction is to think, “here we go again.”

    HECK NO!

We just need to run the ball more, while our defense is banged up. Keep the opponent’s offense off the field. We’ve still got one more big win in us. I hope it’s this weekend, but I bet it’s going to come against a team no one expects us to beat, like Dallas.

Saints will be in the playoffs. Mark it down.

  2. We need to stop turning the ball over is what we need to do. It’s great that Drew Brees threw for over 500 yards, but you can’t win games when you throw two interceptions in the end zone.

  3. They don’t seem to get the tough yards very well. Surprising with Duece in the backfield.

  4. I agree. It seems that we are giving the ball to Reggie more often when we should be giving it to Deuce. Or we are running Deuce out of a single back set on the goal, which he has never been very good at. Give him a fullback.

I assume that Payton is trying to break Reggie in by running him instead of Deuce in the short yardage situations. I guess we need to do that, but I wish Deuce would get the ball more.

In Reggie’s defense, he is looking so much better. He doesn’t dance around as much. He’s not trying to spread the field all the way to the sidelines, he’s making cuts inside quicker. He’s posting fewer and fewer negative yards carries. He’s starting to look like he’s adjusting (finally).

  5. I’ve not watched as much as you, but I almost feel like they woul dbe better if they used Deuce on most downs, and used Bush as a third down back for now. Deuce wears down defences, so you’re missing that net effect in the 4th quarter, if you don’t ride him all game. Bush is so good as a receiver, they would do fine to split him out, if they want to increase his touches. He’s best in the open filed anyways. They can easily run him some from that spot, and he’s obviously a great 3rd down back during obvious passing downs. It’s time to start getting physical though, and the Saints aren’t doing it.

Also, the defense…what can you say?

  6. THe worst thing about the Saints are the fans. You wouldn’t stick your kid in the closet with your off-season clothes just because he/she didn’t win all his/her squash games. Constructive critism and conversation are welcome but don’t give up. If you knew me as a kid then you wouldn’t have liked me because I lost every soccer and tennis game I played but look at me now, you’re friends with a loser, loser. I digress… maybe Saints fans are just more sensitive than other teams’ fans so they dump before they get dumped. Don’t be a pussy, be a fan, true and blue. Wouldn’t you want the same?
