Bethel Johnson for Johnathan Sullivan

Pats to deal WR Johnson to Saints for DT Sullivan

Clearly frustrated by his dubious work habits and conditioning, the New Orleans Saints on Monday threw in the towel on defensive tackle Johnathan Sullivan, trading the team’s first-round choice from the 2003 draft to New England in exchange for wide receiver Bethel Johnson.

Both those guys suck.  Bethel Johnson was good two seasons ago for half a season when he managed to return a kick.  I’m not sure Johnathan Sullivan was ever good at anything except getting fat.  I bet playing on the Pats does him some good, though.  We’ll see which team does a better job of getting something out of a supposedly talented but under-achieving player.
We are going to have a completely different team this year.  Soon there will only be Fred “1000 year old man” McAfee left of the old Saints.

Not that that’s a bad thing.

  1. Dave, for your birthday, the Saints got you an underachieving wide receiver. Hope you like crap!

  2. Now we have two squandered potentials at wide receiver. One who was thrown out of camp last weekend. Good thing we are running the ball this year.

  3. Bethel Johnson will be better than advertised, but picking up another receiver doesn’t make me too confident about the ones we drafted.
