One night last summer Kent and I decided to go see Batman Begins. Heard decent reviews, Michael Caine was Alfred. It even had ninjas. We were in. Sat down with popcorn and cherry Coke. 10 minutes till the end the power goes out. We were offered 2 free tickets so we took them and later on went to see some movie that I can’t remember.
Fast forward to this summer and Batman is on HBO. Great, I can watch it on my own time. Friday night I get through almost half of the movie before I fall asleep. Last night Kent and I got through 32 minutes (I checked) before we both fell asleep. This morning I start at minute 33 and get to minute 42 before the phone begins to ring. It’s not a boring movie. I enjoy what I’ve seen immensely. The stars are not aligned.
I’m not giving up. If I can ever wrestle the remote away from Beth and Kent (who are watching ‘Mother May I Sleep with Danger’)* I’m sitting on the couch, with the phone ringers off and watching the movie to the end.
* When Beth and Kent get together they watch Lifetime made-for-tv movies. I forgot about this tendency. Ew… Tori Spelling is in it.
A friend of mine use to refer to the Lifetime Channel as….a channel for “troubled women.”
I’ve no idea what that makes Kent then. Hmmm…

I love love love Lifetime Movies. It’s all I watch when I am home sick. I saw one the other day where this woman’s daughters was doing it with the father’s best friend. It had the mom from family ties in it. She is in like half of them. Susan St. James is in the rest.
