Well at least they are different – all British coins have the Queen’s head on them. Although they do have different designs on the other side, depending on the coin

Tom Landry would have rocked. Also, he’s probably the best thing Texas had to offer.

I kinda like Maine’s quarter, which includes a pleasant looking lighthouse, a rocky shore, and a ship about to crash on said rocks despite the lighthouse’s best efforts to warn it away.

I always felt Tennessee’s was lame: it has a guitar, a violin, sheet music, and a trumpet. I guess they like music in Tennessee. . . or at least musical instruments.

As for my home state, it looks like Washington’s going extra lame; the governor picked a salmon jumping out of a lake in front of Mount Ranier.

I personally liked the design that had the orca on it.

I am so proud of mr. unstoppable, who managed to post an actual image, when our other authors have trouble with links. Good work.

I have always enjoyed Rhode Island’s quarter, with its elegant sailboat. Florida’s may be my favorite, celebrating exploration with both a tall ship and the space shuttle on it.
