  1. Happy Birthday my old and wise son. It is funny how you have aged but not me.

    I love you,
    MOM

  2. Well, the night before we went out to trivia and won first place, despite drinking tequilla shots. We then went out to play some pool and darts. My dart game was terrible by the end of the night, and we ended up leaving before I could hit my last bull.
    I then went to bed.
The next day I got up, made myself and Leslie an omelet, then fiddled with my fantasy football teams while she took a nap. I watched the movie The Rules of Attraction.
We ate Popeye’s Fried Chicken for dinner, and I school my friend Dave, who is living with us now after Katrina in Madden 2005. He was playing the world champion New England Patriots, me the lowly New Orleans Saints. At the end of the first quarter the score was 28-7, with Brady already having thrown 3 interceptions. The game ended with the score 45 to 17 or something shameful like that. We had a rematch, Dave as the Jaguars and me with the Chargers. His defense seemed much improved, and had me pinned back at the three yard line, when Brees completed a 97 yard TD pass to Reche Caldwll. He quit after I scored on the first play from scrimmage on two consecutive possessions to make the score 28-0 at the half.
    Then I went to bed.

  3. Ah, Madden, an excellent way to pass one’s idle time. They need to invent the online version so it would then be worth buying. I don’t buy it over here because there’s no-one I know who would have the first idea how to play it. I’d get bored pretty quick.

Tequilla and darts don’t really mix to well. lol.

  4. Sorry I’m late, but it sounds as if you had an exciting day!!! Happy late birthday.
I could have used your help on the roof yesterday. I had to quit before the sun baked my brains. But I got the job finished today, and as a bonus, the power was back on. AC, such a nice thing.
